Its still a little awkward between us, but we’re more or less friends. I miss him and I want him back. I have a friend who tells me that there isn’t really any hope between me and him. I listened to her and gave up on wanting him back, but some part of me still wants him so badly. I can’t get over him. He says he’s not ready to have a girlfriend at the moment and my friend said that when she talked to him she thought it was more of an infatuation with me versus the love part. I want a chance to do things right, because I screwed up. She says I blew things out of proportion of what he said and he didn’t really know what was going on because I took things a bit too far. Is this all a lost hope? What do I do to win him back?

My personal advice, please don’t try to win him back. From a guy’s prospective, you can go from sweet girl trying to win my heart back to annoying, crazy girl who is stalking me, really fast. So your best bet is to let it go. He is much more likely to want you back if he thinks he can’t have you back. So if you can’t possibly live without him then you need to put some distance between you and him for now and let things be.
Otherwise I would recommend moving on. I know it feels like you have time invested in this relationship that is hard to just get rid of, but sometimes you just have to take what you learned from this and apply it in your next relationship.

Okay, man. You messed up. If you haven’t already done so, you need to apologize to her. Make sure the apology is genuine and let her know that you understand how she feels and how sorry you are. Don’t just apologize because you want her back, it has to be authentic otherwise she’ll know and think you’re just blowing smoke at her.

This probably won’t get her back. She’ll probably still want to stay broken up. That’s okay. Agree with her. Tell her that you understand and you agree that taking a break would be a good idea.

Now this part is key… You need to completely disappear (at least from her point of view). For about two to four weeks, just completely vanish. She’ll be left totally curious about what your up to and how you’re doing. This will eat away at her, and she’ll probably try to contact you.
